Employer Overview
A benefits plan built on Section 125 of the federal tax code — in place since 1978 — that adds preventative care and wellness benefits for your team while lowering your employer FICA expense. It layers on top of your existing insurance: current plans, carriers, networks, and deductibles stay exactly as they are.
| Employee pay directed pre-tax through the plan | taxable wages ↓ |
| Employer FICA — 7.65% of taxable wages | payroll tax ↓ |
| Kept by the employer, on average | ~$590 / participating employee / yr |
Recurs every year the plan operates. The final figure tracks enrollment and payroll mix — the exact number is calculated from your actual payroll data before any decision.

What employees receive24/7 telemedicine for themselves and their households, an employee assistance program (EAP), mental health and counseling support, addiction recovery resources, Mayo Clinic wellness programming, and a personal health dashboard — at $0 copay and at no cost out of their paychecks. Enrollment applies only to employees who come out ahead by participating. |
Cost and administrationNo upfront cost and no invoice to budget for: program fees come out of the payroll tax savings themselves — if savings do not materialize, there is no fee. Setup is handled for you, including plan documents, enrollment, employee communication, and coordination with your payroll provider. |

3 Your decision. If it fits, setup is handled end to end; if not, you keep the analysis. |
The plan operates as a self-insured medical reimbursement arrangement under Section 125 and related provisions. Written plan documents are prepared and signed off by an ERISA attorney and are available for review by your counsel or CPA under NDA. A compliance officer is available by Zoom to answer technical questions directly — including how this design differs from the fixed-indemnity wellness arrangements addressed in IRS guidance (Chief Counsel Memo 202323006), which this program is deliberately structured to avoid.
